2 Kings 3:21-27

2 Kings 3:26-27 (KJV)
26 And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not.
27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.

There are certain things we can do to provoke a miracle. When the battle is peaked and solution impossible, we must do the unusual to receive the uncommon breakthrough of life. Here was a heathen king at a critical time in a battle who turned the tide of war around by offering his son, the crown prince and heir apparent. By this act, he brought the war to an end.

The challenge for many us is we are not willing to confront our trouble headlong; we spare ourselves, we do the minimum while we are expecting the maximum.

Here are some ways we can accomplish supernatural breakthrough:

Dangerous service:

Doing more than others in the house of God. There was the example of a lady in top management position who decided to be cleaning the church by herself instead of paying somebody to do so. Such sacrifice gets the attention of God and her prayers were answered.

Dangerous Giving:

Example of Solomon who offered to God a thousand offering comes to mind here. God came down and asked him what he wanted and this led to Solomon receiving divine wisdom.

In the New Testament, we read of the woman who broke her alabaster jar of oil to anoint the Lord. She was specially blessed for such a sacrifice.

Another example is David in 2 Samuel 24:24 (KJV)
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

Doing the unusual when inspired by the Spirit of God will open the door to uncommon breakthrough in life.

Father, give me unusual, uncommon breakthrough in every area of my life.
Lord, help me to take necessary steps of faith and obedience to your word
Lord, take over the battles of my life, come to my rescue at the nick of time
